First United Methodist Church Preschool
“Nurturing is what our Preschool is all about. Loving children and providing developmentally-appropriate learning experiences are the goals of our school. Consistent with our belief that children learn best by doing, the “learning centers” approach is the core of our curriculum.
In every classroom, we have very low staff to student ratios with two teachers (3 adults with Toddlers) providing more opportunities for one-to-one time with each child in order to model appropriate interaction with others.
Children participate in the Chapel, where they learn more about God and God’s world through a short Bible story, memory verse, songs, and prayer. We also offer a Godly Play program which is a Montessori interpretation of spiritual formation which is a great way to make bible storytelling come to life for children.
Our school is open to children who are twelve months of age and walking through Pre-K. Our school is a five-day program with preschool hours of 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, with before and after school extended care available from 7:15 am to 2:45 pm or 5:15 pm.
